Are you interested in printmaking? What is it exactly? Gelli printing is a form of mono-printing that utilizes a flexible gel plate and acrylic paint to create textures and layers of color. Learn about this fun technique and how to transfer images onto another surface.
For this workshop, we will use our Gelli (gelatin) Pads to create images using acrylic paints/ink to press onto paper. After exploring stamps and other items, we will create monoprints, which permit unique, freeform printed images every time. Engage in playful experimentation and have some fun! You do not have to be an artist to take this class! Print tools and paint will be provided.
If you do have, please bring some household items you can use to experiment with your prints. The following is acceptable: TP holders, seashells, rubber bands, stamps, stencils, milk or bottle tops, caps, nature (leaves..etc..), netting, etc…
